Texcote™

800FP hydrophobic gray goose down — moisture beads off each fiber rather than absorbing, loft maintained through the night.

ThermoWall™

Trapezoid interlocking baffles — down stays distributed regardless of sleeping position. No shifting. No cold spots.

CampWear™

Center-open dual zipper and arm ports — wearable at camp for cooking and movement without removing the bag.

DraftGuard™

Saddle-shaped collar + full-length interior zipper baffle — two continuous barriers sealed simultaneously.

Foot Box

Asset: Foot box structure close-up
Pre-shaped anatomical design — down surrounds the foot without compression. Warm top to bottom.

TriPack™

CORDURA® compression sack + mesh storage bag. Three volumes: mesh / standard / maximum.

Features

TEXCOTE™ HYDROPHOBIC DOWN. STAYS LOFTED WHEN WET.

Standard down collapses when it absorbs moisture — the loft that creates warmth disappears, and it takes hours of dry heat to recover. Texcote™ treats each down fiber at the molecular level with a hydrophobic coating, causing moisture to bead off the fiber surface rather than absorbing into it. In the humid interior of a sleeping bag — warm exhaled breath, body heat condensing on cooler surfaces — the down maintains its structure. The warmth stays where you need it.

THERMOWALL™. HEAT STAYS WHERE YOU PUT IT.

Conventional sleeping bags use flat horizontal baffles — when you move, the down shifts with you, creating gaps in coverage and cold spots at the edges. ThermoWall™ uses a 3D trapezoid side-wall baffle structure: each chamber is angled and interlocked with the adjacent ones, keeping down distributed across the full interior surface regardless of how you sleep. More even warmth. No cold spots from shifted fill.

CAMPWEAR™. HANDS FREE AT CAMP.

The bag opens at the center with a dual-direction zipper and two arm ports. At camp, between the stove and sleep, you don't choose between warmth and mobility — open the arm ports, keep the bag around your body, and use both hands freely. The DAWA works as a wearable camp garment. Cook in it. Navigate by it. Sleep in it.

DRAFTGUARD™. COLD AIR STAYS OUTSIDE.

Two structures seal the bag where heat escapes fastest: a full-wrap saddle-shaped collar conforms to the neck and face, closing the gap between hood and head; a reinforced draft baffle runs the full zipper length on the interior. Cold air infiltration at the neck gap and zip line — eliminated at both points simultaneously.

PICK YOUR TEMPERATURE. NOT YOUR FILL WEIGHT.

DAWA 35 covers spring and summer camping above 35°F (2°C). DAWA 20 handles cold shoulder seasons down to 20°F (-7°C). DAWA 5 reaches alpine winter at 5°F (-16°C). DAWA -15 is rated for severe cold at -15°F (-25°C). Buy the temperature for your coldest planned night. The fill weight is the means. The temperature is the point.

ANATOMICAL FOOT BOX. WARM TOP TO BOTTOM.

A standard mummy bag tapers to a flat seam at the foot — your feet compress the insulation from two sides, eliminating the air pocket that creates warmth. The DAWA's pre-shaped foot box follows the natural angle of a relaxed foot. Down surrounds the foot without compression. The warmth at the bottom of the bag equals the warmth at the top.

TRIPACK™. THREE STORAGE MODES.

CORDURA® compression sack for travel — resists the sustained internal pressure of a compressed 800FP bag without fabric fatigue. Mesh storage bag for home — long-term storage in a compressed state permanently degrades down loft; the mesh bag allows full loft recovery over months. Three configurations: mesh storage, standard compression, maximum compression.

15D NYLON. BREATHES. DOWN-PROOF.

15D Ripstop Nylon shell — water-repellent DWR coating, down-proof construction. Moisture permeability rated at 8,590 g/m²/24h, air permeability at 12.7 mm/s — the shell moves vapor and warm air out freely before either can condense inside the bag.

FAQS

What exactly is EXO-FLEX™, and why does it matter in rain?

EXO-FLEX™ designates the ExoSpeedFlex pitch system. The outer fly erects and stands as an independent structure before the inner tent is involved. You clip the inner in from underneath, inside a standing shelter. In rain, the inner sleep surface has zero exposure at any point in the setup sequence — a meaningful difference from sleeve-and-clip systems where the inner contacts rain while the fly is still being tensioned.

What does "Force 8 validated" mean, and how was it tested?

Force 8 on the Beaufort scale is 40 mph (18 m/s) — gale conditions. The KONGAR was tested at that sustained speed across four continuous hours under frontal, lateral, and oblique load directions. Single-direction point-load testing at the same speed does not produce equivalent stress on pole junctions and anchor points.

How does FFP™ differ from standard ultralight aluminum poles?

FeatherFlex Pole (FFP™) is Mobi Garden's proprietary aluminum specification. Compared to conventional 7-series ultralight aluminum poles, FFP™ reduces weight by approximately 15% while increasing maximum load capacity to 466N. The KONGAR uses FFP™ throughout — no segments are standard alloy.

Why is the floor rated 1,000mm higher than the fly?

Rain on the fly is a dynamic load — it runs off. Water pooling beneath the floor, combined with body weight compressing the material against wet ground, creates sustained hydrostatic pressure. The 4,000mm HH floor rating is calibrated to that specific threat; the 3,000mm HH fly rating is calibrated to precipitation.

Are PFAS or flame retardants used in any KONGAR materials?

No. All KONGAR EXO-FLEX™ materials are non-PFAS and flame-retardant free.

Does the KONGAR require two people to pitch?

No. The three-step ExoSpeedFlex sequence was developed for solo setup in deteriorating weather. The outer shell stands independently before the inner attaches, so no second person is needed to hold structure during the pitch.
