From 1 lb 7 oz (639g), rated to 300 lbs (140 kg). Dyneema® G-Grid fabric reaches up to 1200N tear resistance over a 7001 aluminum alloy frame with five-axis CNC-machined X-HUB connectors. All-Terrain Leveling System rotates each side's linked leg pair up to 20° for full four-point contact on uneven ground. One integrated FFP™ ground stake stores in the X-HUB cap and anchors to the leg-foot eyelet in wind.

The Hengduan Mountains don't have flat ground. The approach camps sit on glacial moraine — loose rock, variable angle, surfaces that shift. On the first extended field test of the Mountain Wing prototype, the designer set the chair down on a Hengduan ridgeline and turned away. A sustained gust moved it three meters downhill in under two seconds.
He pulled a tent stake from his pack and pinned the chair to the ground. It held.
That moment produced two things. The All-Terrain Leveling System — each leg rotating independently up to 20°, reading the terrain automatically so four contact points stay in contact regardless of what the ground does. And the integrated stake system: two stakes stored flush in the X-HUB cap, deploying in seconds onto the eyelet flanges built into each leg foot. The chair that adapts to the ground. Fixed to it when the wind decides.
Dyneema® G-Grid fabric completes the brief — bio-circular ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene woven in a structural lattice through the base nylon, reaching 1200N tear resistance over a 7001 aluminum alloy frame. The G-Grid pattern on the surface is load geometry. The weight is 639g. The rating is 140kg.

Features

Dyneema® G-Grid fabric

Bio-circular UHMWPE woven in a structural lattice through base nylon; up to 1200N tear resistance, UV stable, water resistant.

All-Terrain Leveling System

Same-side leg pairs rotate together up to 20°, linked through the X-HUB; four-point contact maintained on moraine, angled rock, and uneven forest terrain without manual adjustment.

Integrated FFP™ ground stake

One purpose-built stake (100mm × 6mm, 1mm wall, FFP aluminum process) stores flush in the sealed X-HUB cap; deploys onto the leg-foot eyelet flange to anchor against wind displacement.

X-HUB five-axis CNC construction

High-pressure forged aluminum hub with precision-machined connectors eliminates micro-play at junctions under cyclic load.

7001 aluminum alloy frame

Higher tensile strength than the 7075 alloy standard in this category; purpose-built for repeated compression-release cycles.

FAQS

How does the All-Terrain Leveling System work?

The two legs on each side move as a linked pair, both anchored to the central X-HUB. On uneven ground, the front pair and rear pair are adjusted independently — no tools required — until all four feet contact the surface. The system maintains stable four-point load distribution rather than bridging on a diagonal across uneven terrain.

What happens if I lose a ground stake in the field?

The included stakes are purpose-built: 100mm length, 6mm diameter, 1mm wall thickness, manufactured to FeatherFlex Pole (FFP™) specification — the same proprietary lightweight aluminum used in the tent pole line. A standard tent stake through the leg-foot eyelet flange will anchor the chair in a pinch, though we'd rather you just didn't lose them. If you need a replacement set, reach out to us at SUPPORT@MOBIGARDEN.COM.

What's the actual difference between Mountain Wing and Mountain Wing Pro?

Two primary differences: fabric and load rating. Mountain Wing Pro uses Dyneema® G-Grid at up to 1200N tear resistance; Mountain Wing uses DuroWeave™ 300D polyester at up to 600N. Load rating is 300 lbs (140 kg) for Pro vs. 250 lbs (110 kg). Frame alloy (7001), hub geometry (X-HUB), leveling system (All-Terrain, 20° per leg), seating dimensions, and packed size are identical across both.

Why 7001 aluminum instead of the 7075 alloy common in this category?

7001 alloy has higher tensile strength than 7075 at equivalent cross-section — it's less common in outdoor furniture because it's harder to work. The Mountain Wing Pro frame is designed for repeated compression-release cycles across multiple seasons; 7001 is the higher-spec alloy for that loading pattern.

Is the 300 lbs (140 kg) load rating per person or per chair?

Per chair.
